Charities

Supporting our local charities is such an important function of our Women's Club. Each luncheon gives us the opportunity to support a specific charitable organization.

There are many worthwhile organizations in our community that need the assistance of volunteers to maintain their daily operations. If you are interested in volunteering for one of these organizations, either on a regular basis or for a single event, or are interested in getting more information on a particular charity, please, contact our Charities Director.

Charities We Are Supporting

A physical activity-based positive youth development program (PA-PYD), Girls on the Run uses running and other physical activities as a medium for teaching essential life skills and core values.

Car Seats for Christy's mission is to provide car seats and boosters to those in need and to raise awareness about child passenger safety.

Positively Arts uses the arts as a vehicle to teach youth essential life skills by developing the confidence
and resilience needed to excel in every aspect of their lives.

Their mission is to increase access to food, resources, and services to build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community.

CMDR seeks out and accepts the senior and special needs dogs that have no hope and gifts them a destiny.

The Sunny Day Fund was established by Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada to cover expenses for everyday activities and supplies so that a child in foster care can have a semblance of normalcy and stability in their life. The fund pays for small but critical requests that are not paid for by the foster family or foster care system.

Heroes on the Water supports veterans, first responders and their families by creating a peaceful environment for healing.

What they do:  surgery kits for mastectomy patients, free wigs and surgical supplies, mentorship program, and meal trains

The goal of their foundation is to help put a smile on a child's face while they are at the hospital or at their clinic receiving treatments. They would like to give them a little something to take their minds off of the bad part of their day and be able to focus on the good part of the day. They fill thermal lunch boxes with toys and games and then they deliver them to the hospitals and clinics.
